This year's Seattle International Film Festival can best be summed up in the phrase "a victim of its own success."  Rumors of computer glitches and too many passes sold abounded. The facts were far more disheartening: long lines and feverish predictions (sometimes by the staff at the door of the theatre in question) as to whether or not your place in line was far enough ahead in order to allow you to get a seat.  The SIFF staff worked hard to make it as easy as possible under the circumstances, but it really was a case of trying to lock the barn door after the horse had bolted.  Nevertheless, some effort resulted in some choice finds this year ...
