KJ Doughton has resided in the northwest for most of his life, and has been writing about popular culture since 1982. He has written music reviews and features for such magazines as Seattle's The Rocket, Bay Area Monthly, Tower Pulse, Japan's Burrn!, and New York's Guitar World.
He is the author of Metallica Unbound, published by Warner Books in 1993.
